Emma Kalinowski | Middle School Language Arts

emma kalinowskiI am thrilled to start my first year teaching at Hoosier Academy. Hoosier Academy combines the best elements of brick and mortar teaching with immersive online learning.  Hoosier Academy really prepares students for success in our increasingly technologically based workplace.

I love teaching because I love helping people meet their potential and to dream big. Education truly is the key to success in our society. As for my education, I have a degree in Education from Michigan State University and a degree in English and History from the University of Illinois.  I am certified to teach English in the state of Indiana.  My teaching experience is mostly at the middle school level, but I have also taught high school English.  Middle school kids are my favorite age group!

My son has made it successfully through the middle school years. Joel is in 11th grade at North Central High School and certainly keeps me busy when I am not working.   I hope that I am better able to relate to both students and their learning coaches because of my experiences with my son and his education.
