Students attending Hoosier Academy at Indianapolis spend part of their instructional time at their respective Learning Center. Teacher-led direct instruction in Language Arts, Math, Science, and History takes place at the Learning Center. In addition, the Learning Center also offers opportunities for Math and Language Arts remediation, test readiness, and regular assessments, as well as the administration of state assessments, parent and teacher training, and student interest group sessions.
Learning centers are equipped with interactive SMART/ENOS Boards, enabling teachers to deliver instruction on a state-of-the art technology platform that transforms a classroom into a dynamic learning environment that can better engage students in the learning process.
While enrollment in Hoosier Academy is available to all eligible Indiana residents, students must be able to attend one of the learning centers on their scheduled days. Families will be assigned a schedule based on learning center availability. Families will have the opportunity to request a schedule preference prior to the start of the school year; however, Hoosier Academy cannot guarantee preferences.
